Hello there!

Hello there!

My first name is Anne-Sophie.
My last name is not Spicy (although in German it is).

I am an enthusiastic overthinker, a deep feeler and a beauty seeker.
I am also a certified life coach and have dedicated many years to empowering women in the tech industry, as the managing director of a non-profit.

I love to try new things, learn new skills and establish (temporary) residence outside the comfort zone.

Because I really believe this is where the *magic” happens.
Beside that, here are a few more things I’d like to share about myself.

My career is in digital marketing but I am also a certified life coach and have dedicated many years to empowering women in the tech industry, as the managing director of a non-profit.

Here’s a few more things I’d like to share about me.

#1 I love stories.

When I was a kid, I created my own comic book. It was about the adventures of a dog called Estragon (French for tarragon). This was the start of a life-long love affair with storytelling.

Stories shape the way we see the world. They make us travel, love, learn and sometimes break our hearts. They teach us about ourselves.

For the past few years, I have been reading around 100 books a year. What started as a challenge for myself became a part of who I am. From classics to modern novels, biographies or spiritual books, I love to read about new ideas, thoughts and experiences.

#2 I am committed to making life more beautiful.

I am the kind of person who will spend an hour making a presentation aesthetically pleasing before adding any content. I will always buy the version of a book with the prettiest cover. To me, making life beautiful is about making it more enjoyable.

I will also always favour buying from small niche brands and support small business owners who put their soul into their work. Handcrafted items always feel so special, a unique kind of beauty. And it has become a big part of how I express my individuality.

#3 I crave new experiences

Don’t ever tell me I can’t do something because I will most likely try and prove you wrong. Whether it’s through travels, sports, spirituality, creative pursuits or professional achievements, I love to challenge myself. That’s how I ended up hiking alone with no previous experience in the Scottish Highlands for my 30th birthday (spoiler: not a relaxing birthday).

I created ANNESOPHIESPICY because I wanted a space to share about topics that fascinate and intrigue me. A place to share the learnings, challenges and screw-ups encountered on my journey of self-discovery.

A way to further develop my sense of wonder, discover new things and build an authentic life for myself one experience at a time.

Thank you for being here with me.
